UHC announced rate and plan updates for April 1, 2019 effective dates. Rates are available for quoting!
Medical (statewide averages, varies by county and plan)
- HMO: 0.6% Decrease
- PPO: 3.3% Increase
Plans & Benefits
UHC is introducing their new Harmony HMO Network and Plans effective April 1, 2019. Harmony HMO is available in Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside and San Bernardino counties. Harmony HMO physician groups are HealthCare Partners and OptumCare, which include:
- AppleCare Medical Group
- HealthCare Partners
- Empire Physicians Medical Group
- Monarch HealthCare
- Valley Physicians Network

There are no other changes to existing January 2019 plans and benefits.
UHC has added a new "Choice Simplified V" package effective April 1, 2019. The Choice Simplified V offering will include:
- All Select Plus & Core plans except the richest Platinum 10/10% plans (plan codes BH-BN and BH-BR)
- All SignatureValue, Advantage, Focus and Harmony plans
Choice Simplified packages I, II, III, and IV will not change.
Networks & Zip Codes
UHC has a new Zip Code Table effective April 1, 2019 which includes the new Harmony Network and the expanded Advantage Network (Marin, San Bernardino, and San Diego).
