UHC Specialty Updates: Dental Rate Cap Extended, Bundling Program, Q4 + 1 Specialty Playbook

UHC provided the following important updates on their Specialty products.

Dental Rate Cap Extended

Now is the time to inform your customers that UHC is offering a 5% second year rate cap when they add a dental plan by June 2023. 

Guidelines:

• Effective dates through June 2023
• Group size 2-100 eligible employees
• Offer not available to groups sitused in RI, WI, WA, FL (2-50), and ACEC groups
• Applies for both contributory and voluntary coverages
• Available to both New Business and New Business on existing group

2-99 Bundling Program Extended

UHC’s 2-50 Specialty Bundling Program (2-99 in CA) has been extended through January 2023! Adding 2 or more specialty lines, including voluntary coverages, can help groups get a substantial one-time administrative credit to their bill about 4 months after adding the coverage.

Qualification Requirements:

• Effective dates through 12/31/22
• 2-50 Only (2-99 CO and CA)
• Minimum of 2 lines sold together (NB or NCEA)
• Meet Minimum ANNUAL premium threshold
