UHC Specialty Updates: Eyesafe Discount, Anti-Reflective and Progressive Lenses

UHC provided important updates on their Specialty products, including updates on their Eyesafe discount and anti-reflective and progressive lenses.

EyeSafe Discount

UnitedHealthcare Vision is partnering with Eyesafe to offer members a 20% discount on blue light filters effective April 1, 2021, through December 31, 2022:

• Members are eligible to receive a 20% off discount when purchasing Eyesafe filters.
• The discount is valid on any Eyesafe filter, and members may purchase up to 20 items with the discount.
• Members may share their discount code with friends and family.

Anti-Reflective and Progressive Lenses Update

Effective May 1st, 2021, the UnitedHealthcare Vision Progressive and Anti-Reflective categories will be updated in efforts to align UHC Vision more closely with the vision industry.

The update will make UHC's Anti-Reflective and Progressive formularies easier to understand for both members and providers. Additionally, the updates offer members greater savings than afforded to them today.
