​UnitedHealthcare invests in a variety of new health care options – such as Virtual Visits - that offer a quick and convenient way to access cost-effective health care services.

The virtual visit provider groups UHC contracts with deliver care using live audio and video technology based on quality standards aligned with American Medical Association (AMA) and Federation of State Medical Boards (FSMB) guidelines. Contracted provider groups are currently operating in 49 states and Washington, D.C.

With Virtual Visits, UHC members are able to connect with a doctor from a mobile device or computer 24 hours a day. Virtual Visit doctors can diagnose and treat a wide range of non-emergency medical conditions. And, the cost of a Virtual Visit is typically lower than an urgent care or emergency room visit.
