UnitedHealthcare Motion Garners Best in Biz Award

UnitedHealthcare Motion™ has been awarded a Best in Biz Award in the Consumer Product of the Year category. UnitedHealthcare Motion is a product design that features a wearable device that enables enrollees to earn up to $1,500 per year in financial incentives by meeting daily walking goals, which may enable employers to more effectively manage health care costs.

This marks the fifth award for UnitedHealthcare Motion this year, with other recognition including the Appy Awards, Digital Health Awards, BIG Awards for Business, and the eHealthcare Leadership Awards.

According to the Best in Biz website, the award “honors companies, teams, executives and products for their business success in the current and previous year. Best in Biz Awards is unique, as it is the only business awards program judged by an independent judging panel comprised of a wide array of members of the press and industry analysts.”

UnitedHealthcare Motion enables employees and their covered spouses to receive custom-designed wearable devices that track the number of steps plan participants take each day, tabulating the total number, frequency and intensity of the steps taken. Employees earn financial incentives, while employers may achieve premium savings based on participants’ combined results.

By using technology that is designed to be both intuitive and convenient, UnitedHealthcare Motion helps encourage employees to be more active and earn financial incentives at the same time.
