What is BrokerPicks?

BrokerPicks is a program sponsored by Beere&Purves for your clients. When you place your Small Group business through B&P, AND they enroll 1 to 100 employees in one of our Medical carriers, they can choose one service which we will pay for or supplement the cost.

How does my client qualify for BrokerPicks?

When your Small Group business is placed through B&P, your client always has the option of receiving a free Premium Only Plan AND when they enroll 1 to 100 employees in one of our Medical carriers they can also choose from COBRA, Ease, ERISA, FSA, "other" Benefits/HR Platforms, or Telephonic EAP as their additional service.

What costs does B&P cover for COBRA service?

B&P covers the group's first year administration fees for either Sterling Administration’s or TASC’s COBRA service when 20 or more enroll in a B&P Medical carrier. Additional fees are the client's responsibility.

What costs does B&P cover for Ease?

B&P will subsidize a broker's Ease subscription when 1 or more enroll in a B&P Medical carrier:

  • A one-time subsidy of $1.40 per B&P Medically enrolled member per month for a period not to exceed 12 months. Additional fees incurred with an Ease subscription are the broker's responsibility.

What costs does B&P cover for "other" Benefits/HR Platforms?

B&P will provide a one-time subsidy to an employer's existing Benefits/HR Platform when 20 or more enroll in a B&P Medical carrier. The subsidy equals a one-time payment of $1 per B&P Medically enrolled member per month for a period not to exceed 12 months. Additional fees are the client's responsibility.

What costs does B&P cover for ERISA service?

B&P covers the group's initial set up fee for either Sterling Administration’s or TASC’s ERISA service when 20 or more enroll in a B&P Medical carrier. Additional fees are the client's responsibility.

What costs does B&P cover for FSA service?

B&P covers the group's initial set up fee for either Sterling Administration’s or TASC’s FSA when 20 or more enroll in a B&P Medical carrier. Additional fees are the client's responsibility.

What costs does B&P cover for POP service?

B&P covers a group's first year administration fees for Bancover Insurance Services Premium Only Plan (POP). This option is available to every B&P group with an active policy, it does not need to be new business or be a Medical policy.

New groups with a B&P Medical carrier can also pick another BrokerPicks option.

What costs does B&P cover for Telephonic EAP service?

B&P covers the group's first year administration fees for the Holman Group’s Telephonic EAP service when 20 or more enroll in a B&P Medical carrier. Additional fees are the client's responsibility.

Who do I notify if I want BrokerPicks for my client?

Notify any member of your B&P Sales Team at the time of sale and indicate which service you would like to receive with the new group submission.

Is BrokerPicks available to a Dental or Vision only group?

No. Your client must enroll between 1 to 100 employees in a B&P Medical carrier to be eligible for a BrokerPicks service. However, B&P has obtained preferred broker pricing if you would like to extend any of these services to clients that do not qualify for BrokerPicks.

Is BrokerPicks available to my inforce business through B&P?

The free services offered via BrokerPicks are available only to new group submissions with 1 to 250 medically enrolling employees. B&P has obtained preferred broker pricing if you would like to extend any of these services to your inforce business.

Since B&P will cover the set up fee for FSA or ERISA, can I pay for my client's monthly administration fees?

Yes. Discounted pricing is available through B&P for Sterling Administration and TASC. Contact us for the pricing tables for first year and ongoing costs.

What if my client terminates their medical coverage within the first twelve months?

If the group elected COBRA administration, the Ease subsidy, the "other" Benefits/HR Platform subsidy, or Telephonic EAP services, B&P will cease payments following their termination of coverage.

Can I offer the discounted pricing to my groups that have not been placed through B&P, i.e. Blue Shield groups?

Yes. While we would prefer you place your business with B&P medical carriers, we understand that is not always possible. Therefore, discounted pricing is available through B&P for all of your clients.

Sterling Administration and TASC.

What vendor(s) provides FSA service?

Sterling Administration and TASC.

What vendor(s) provides POP service?

Bancover Insurance Services (www.bancover.com).

The Holman Group.
