Good communications make for satisfied customers. And the Explanation of Benefits (EOB) is often what members mention first when asked about their health plan communications. That's why Anthem redesigned their EOBs to make them easier for members to read and understand.
And now they are going a step beyond that — they're evolving their EOBs into a Health Care Summary. The refreshed version of the Health Care Summary will begin rolling out to members in July 2018.
The new Health Care Summary will include a comprehensive view of all claims activity over approximately a 20-day period. It includes a look at member preventive care gaps, savings opportunities and appropriate site of care. Anthem's flier shows you some features of the newly designed EOB.
