Ease & Employee Navigator Update
In case you missed it, Employee Navigator hosted a webinar last week called "What's Next for Ease & Employee Navigator." The webinar included a lot of great business updates, but we wanted to highlight their update on the Ease transition timeline. Employee Navigator said the recorded webinar and summary will be posted to their website soon.
Ease sunset dates
- Beginning January 1, 2027, no new companies can be built on Ease.
- Beginning July 1, 2027, Ease groups will move to read-only access for at least three years. Brokers and HR will be able to view historical data, but employees will not have access to it.
Recommendation for current Ease groups
Employee Navigator recommends that current Ease groups migrate two months before or after open enrollment:
- 2 months before OE: this gives you plenty of time properly set up OE on Employee Navigator, verify the information is correct, and conduct OE.
- 2 months after OE: this lets you run OE on Ease as you normally would, gives you time to process any OE changes, and then you can migrate to Employee Navigator to manage throughout the year and you'll be ready for next year's OE on Employee Navigator.
Either way, this gives you time to migrate information from Ease to Employee Navigator, verify everything is correct, and conduct a smooth open enrollment.
