Principal Provides ARPA COBRA Subsidy Guidance to Groups

Principal sent an email to brokers and groups last week regarding the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021's (ARPA) COBRA subsidy, including versions for states that offer state continuation benefits. These letters went to Principal clients with dental and/or vision insurance with Principal.

Below are copies of the three notices Principal sent out last week:

• COBRA version being sent to most states
• State continuation - CA and NH
• State continuation - MN, MO, RI, SD, UT, VT, VA

Groups should review the notice that is applicable to their situation. In any situation, the group is responsible for taking action to meet the requirements of the American Rescue Plan Act.
