Guardian has announced rate adjustments for September 1, 2014. The new rates will be in effect through February 28, 2015. There were not any region, SIC or participation changes. The rating changes include: All Plans and Group Sizes using a sample Walnut Creek zip code and 90th UCR:The EE, ES & EC rates had minimal changes.

While in most states the pediatric oral care EHB can be provided through a stand-alone dental plan, employers may choose to have their medical plan provide all of their Essential Health Benefits. The benefits and network offered may vary by carrier and by state and some may be more comprehensive than others.
Guardian has been working with many of their brokers and customers who have chosen to renew their medical plans early and want their dental plan to have the same anniversary. Guardian is pleased to announce that they have extended the deadline for these early renewals for groups with 50 or fewer employees until November 11, 2013.
This October, Guardian will begin sending your small group clients their 2014 dental plan renewals. As you know, plans with 50 lives or less will need to include the pediatric oral care Essential Health Benefit (EHB) under the Affordable Care Act (ACA). Your clients will be able to choose the ACA-compliant option that works best for them.
